Robert Zabrowski, PE

Ecohydraulic Engineer

Robert is an ecohydraulic engineer focused on riverine science and restoration design who has worked throughout the Pacific Northwest inland and coastal States for over 7 years. He brings an interdisciplinary perspective to his work in river systems, integrating engineering with hydrology, geomorphology, ecology, water quality, geography, and history. He is passionate about utilizing emerging tools and techniques both out in the field and in the office including process-based restoration design methods, drones, remote sensing, 2D hydraulic modeling, GIS, CAD, and more.

His areas of expertise include one and two-dimensional hydraulic modeling of open channel flow, process-based restoration design for floodplain reconnection and valley reset projects, aquatic organism passage, drone orthoimagery and LiDAR surveys, hydrologic assessment of rivers, watersheds and urban drainage basins, and field assessments and surveys of streams, rivers, and floodplains. He has experience across all project phases, from field surveying and data collection through final design and construction.
