Jeanne McFall, PE
President and Principal Engineer
Jeanne is native to Idaho, where she loves to fish, bow-hunt, and raise her two sons with her husband. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from CalPoly, San Luis Obispo. Jeanne spent her early career in consulting and academic research working for NOAA-Fisheries evaluating river restoration throughout the Pacific Northwest. She completed her Master’s degree from the University of Idaho (Boise) in Ecohydraulics Engineering. From there, Jeanne worked for the State of Idaho to help create the Fisheries Habitat program for Idaho Fish and Game. Jeanne has 24 total years of specialized experience addressing fisheries needs and providing solutions in stream restoration design, aquatic habitat resilience, fish passage, fisheries structures, hatchery design, and hydraulics. She spent 8 years as Chair of the Aquatic Habitat Committee for the Idaho Chapter of American Fisheries Society, focused on creating workshops with innovative restoration techniques and experts in the fisheries world.
Outside of engineering, Jeanne spent over a decade as a competitive cyclist and triathlete competing at the national level. An avid outdoorswoman, she was selected as one of six worldwide athletes to compete in the 2016 “Extreme Huntress” Texas-based event.
In 2019, Jeanne founded RIVHAB, PLLC. She’s an avid supporter of the local community and non-profit organizations, especially those supporting women, STEM, fisheries, and natural resources. In 2024, Jeanne was selected as Idaho’s Small Businessperson of the Year and accepted her award in Washington DC.
